A Commercial Invoice is a very important component of the required documentation for international shipments. It has a key role as a customs declaration for goods being shipped across borders. It also includes information such as the value and country of origin to help customs authorities calculate the due taxes and duties, and to decide who is responsible for paying them.

Commercial Invoices include completed transactions record and are the official documents for payment. Pro-forma Invoices play role as estimates or bids and provide potential customers a general idea of projected prices.

A Certificate of Origin is a declaration to customs authorities about the country where goods in a shipment were manufactured. This Certificate is used to determine whether there is a free trade agreement established between the shipper’s country and the destination country and to determine if the goods are eligible for reduced taxes and duties.

A Bill of Lading is a legal document issued by the shipment’s carrier to the shipper and lists the agreed terms and conditions for the transportation – such as destination and handling instructions. It also has an import role as a receipt for the shipment, and therefore must be signed by a designated representative from the carrier, shipper, and receiver.

Whenever a shipment enters or leaves a country, Customs authorities check the accompanying paperwork to ensure the shipper is abiding by all the necessary rules and regulations.

When handing over your shipment(s) to us, make sure that you’ve filled the paperwork completely and properly to avoid any delays in the Customs process.

Ensure that you have followed these guidelines,

1. Provided all necessary documents
2. Listed each commodity separately with accurate descriptions
3. Checked for consistency across all documents
4. Checked that documents are clearly written, typed or electronically submitted
5. Provided as much detailed information as possible

Each separate shipment requires an individual license.

Every country has its own list of restricted items to regulate goods crossing its borders. This list may include things like certain liquids, hazardous materials, and/or medicines. You’ll need to verify the relevant regulations in your shipment’s origin and destination countries.

At least three days are required for the customs clearance of import shipments by sea freight whereas at least two days are required for the customs clearance of import shipments by air freight.

1. All Invoices
2. Packing List
3. Copy of Letter of Credit
4. All Bank Certificates
5. Insurance Coverage note
6. Any other details / documentation regarding the shipment

At least one day is required for customs clearance of export shipments by sea freight sent through Karachi seaport whereas at least one day is required for customs clearance of export shipments by air freight sent via Karachi airport.

3. Copies of form "E" issued by the bank.
4. Export Registration
5. Income Tax Number
